“ WHO IS CRAZIER THAN A CIRCUS ARTIST?”
Bodies that choose precarious balance over safety, that challenge falling in order to push beyond their limits, while someone – from the ground or from above – watches, laughs, gets emotional, without ever risking anything in person.
The performance is a sequence of moments that constantly pose the same question, in different ways: who is truly the crazy one? Is it the one who puts themselves on the line to the point of falling, or the one who remains comfortably on the sidelines, convinced that the only danger is what they see above their own heads?
Circus techniques, dance, voice and other nuances intersect in often dreamlike images that never truly leave reality behind: bodies, visions and characters that seem to have stepped out of a dream or a nightmare, revealing deeply human fears, obsessions and desires that will be recognisable to anyone who has ever balanced on something.”
