For the very first time, Pepijn Ronaldo takes to the stage on his own. SOLO is a search for his own artistic voice, in a world full of dreams and expectations.
SOLO becomes an exercise in balancing one’s own dreams against the audience’s expectations. Like a conversation between performer and spectator, Pepijn explores what it means to be ‘good enough’ for this decisive moment. Because, after all, what are we really looking for? The show? The jokes and acts? Or the human element, with everything it entails: doubt, fear, joy and vulnerability?
SOLO is an ambitious race against time. Will this young circus artist risk losing himself under the overwhelming weight of expectations and desires, or will he manage to rediscover himself within them?

PEPIJN RONALDO
Pepijn Ronaldo treads the path of seven generations of performers. As a young boy, he traveled with Circus Ronaldo, where he took his very first steps on stage. After studying at the circus secondary school in Leuven and later at L’École Internationale de Théâtre Lassaad in Brussels, Pepijn returned to his roots at Circus Ronaldo. Since then, he has performed in various productions, including ‘Applaus’, ‘Da Capo’ and ‘Sono io?’ – a performance created together with his father, Danny Ronaldo, for which he received the ‘Best Actor’ award in 2022.
Pepijn is a creator in the widest sense of the word. He is a performer and director, but also a technician, artisan, juggler, driver, artist, composer, musician, dressmaker, set designer and big top builder.
Until now, he allowed himself to be guided by the people around him in his artistic journey. But now the time has come to find his own path: to move forward into the darkness, guided by curiosity, and to discover a voice that is truly his own.
